Many people feel anxious about the virus, so first know that you are not alone.
From there, focus on what you can control. Depending on the type of work you do, are you able to speak to your manager or HR about the companies response plan? Are other people also asking about self-quarantine? Can you leverage the advisements of the CDC and your local government that are encouraging social distancing?
Lastly, the most important thing you can do is to keep your anxiety in check so you can calmly express your concerns. Before having the conversation about how you feel, try writing down what you want to say and mentally rehearse having the conversation. This will help you manage the conversation effectively and increase the likelihood you will be heard.
